Quixon terminals expand Molex's existing line of quick-disconnect terminals, which includes Avikrimp, InsulKrimp, and Krimptite. Because Quixon terminals feature a flexible bundle and standard opening, minimal insertion force is required to mate them with the industry-standard 6.35 mm x 0.81 mm (0.250 x 0.032 in) male lugs, providing a secure and reliable fit. Quixon connectors also feature a side relief cut, allowing for a slight angle to facilitate blind mating, and an enlarged connection entry for easy wire insertion.

“Quixon is a great example of our commitment to developing products that meet the specific needs of marine equipment manufacturers,” says Chip Walsh, Molex’s global product manager, adding: “With its unique features, Quixon is an ideal solution when the mating lug is difficult to reach or when ergonomics are a key factor in assembly lines with repetitive terminal mating processes, which are typical in the marine instrumentation manufacturing environment.”.

Quixon terminals are available individually or on plastic strips with Mylar tape for semi-automatic or fully automatic termination. The terminals are UL compliant when used with Molex-recommended tools. However, Quixon terminals can be crimped using a wide variety of industry-standard tools.
