Harwin's EZ-BoardWare PCB mounting products replace traditional components that typically require secondary assembly. Cable management devices, for example, are often bulky and screwed onto the board after all other components have been automatically positioned. In contrast, Harwin's EZ cable clips are small and neat, and surface-mount alongside all other standard devices, saving time, cost, and space. An added benefit is that they don't degrade and become brittle like the plastic devices they replace.

Originally offered in four sizes covering cable diameters from 1 to 3 mm, the range now includes devices that can handle 0.9 mm diameter cables side-by-side, or—interestingly—1.32 mm diameter mini coaxial cable. When used with coaxial cables, if the outer jacket is removed to reveal the shielding mesh, the EZ cable clip can provide a direct path to a ground line, significantly improving the system's EMC performance.

Paul Gillam, product manager, comments: “EZ cable clips are not only very cost-effective, but they save space, reduce interference, and last longer than traditional plastic products.”.
