Designed for high-speed data environments, the CXP assembly mitigates EMI leakage at the beveled opening and the housing-to-plug interface. The product reduces cross-interference and improves electrical performance through a double downsize design that increases via spacing.
The one-piece, snap-on design allows for quick and easy placement on a printed circuit board, eliminating the additional steps of mounting the connector and housing, thus saving manufacturing time and costs. Screw holes are also available as an optional upgrade for securely mounting the CXP assembly to a board.
Other product options include a light tube and a dustproof/IEM socket, as well as three heatsink heights for various high-temperature applications. Dual-unit mounting options are also available, positioned side-by-side on a printed circuit board, for space-saving, high-port-density applications.
Recommended applications include network switches, routers, storage devices, direct-attached storage (DAS) devices, network-attached storage (SAN) devices, controller cards, and servers.
To adapt to the latest high-speed InfiniBand CXP 12x QDR standard and the IEEE 100 Gbps Ethernet specification, TE Connectivity (TE) has developed a pluggable CXP connector with a one-piece housing that takes up less space and is press-fit.
