TE Connectivity's DEUTSCH DT connector family, now available from Mouser Electronics, consists of three series: the DT series, the DTM series, and the DTP series. The DT series connectors are general-purpose solutions that allow designers to use multiple 16-pin sizes within a single housing, each with a continuous current rating of 13A. The series comes in 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 12-cavity configurations and is available in 14 to 20 AWG wire sizes. Mouser also offers a specialized line of J1939/11 connectors compatible with the DT series to meet SAE requirements for 3-wire CAN applications.
The DEUTSCH DTM series of connectors from TE are multi-terminal connectors with a lower amperage rating. The DTM series offers multiple sizes of 20 contacts within a single housing, each with a continuous current rating of 7.5 A. The series is available in 2- to 12-cavity configurations and sizes from 14 to 22 AWG. For power application requirements, the DTP series offers the flexibility to use power contacts and addresses the need for higher amperage multi-terminal connectors. The DTP series offers multiple sizes of 12 contacts within a single housing, each with a continuous current rating of 25 A. The DTP series comes in 2- to 4-cavity configurations and is available in 10 to 14 AWG.
All three series in the DT family feature rectangular housings with integrated latches for in-line connection and mounting, either with a flange or printed circuit board (PCB). Mouser also offers the corresponding wedgelocks that designers use to confirm contact alignment and retention.
