USB adapters are plug-and-play devices perfect for mobile serial devices and applications requiring multiple serial devices. Industrial PRO Line.
The Industrial PRO line can expand up to 8 RS232/422/485 ports. Each port can be individually configured via software (no jumpers). The ports are standard DB9 male connectors. Protected with a metal cover, they can be easily mounted on DIN rails; the 8- and 16-port variants are also compatible with 19" rack mounting.
Industrial Line.
The Industrial line supports up to 16 RS232/422/485 ports or 32 RS232 ports, with standard DB9, DB37, or DB62 connectors depending on the variant. Additionally, some models support 4-wire RS422/485 and 2-wire RS485 with male DB9 connectors and a terminal block. Protected by a metal cover that can be easily mounted on a DIN rail, the 8- and 16-port variants can also be rack-mounted in a 19" rack.
Commercial Line.
The commercial line supports up to one RS232/422/485 port or eight RS232 ports, and features standard DB9 connectors or a terminal block, depending on the variant. These devices have a lightweight and robust plastic casing suitable for use with mobile devices. They are easy to install on any version of the Windows operating system, turning any USB port into a high-performance serial port.
Long Distance Line.
Long distance devices utilize a technology that ensures proper USB-to-serial operation. USB-to-serial devices are limited by short USB cables, and to overcome this, CAT5 cable is used instead, employing the TCP/IP protocol to achieve distances exceeding 5 meters. The device connects via a LAN connection. Drivers are available for Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7.
