D-Link DIR-895L and DIR-885L Ultra WiFi routers integrate the Wave 2 evolution of the WiFi AC standard with Multi-User MIMO
D-Link has introduced the new Ultra-WiFi Routers DIR-885L and DIR-895L, bringing the new Wi-Fi Wave 2 standard to the home, which offers multiple improvements over the current Wi-Fi AC, highlighting Multi-user MIMO technology (sending data streams to multiple users simultaneously, greater efficiency in high-density user environments than the current Single User MIMO, where it is done sequentially).
Since in most homes it is not possible to replace the operator's router due to its closed configurations, these routers have a switch on the back that allows you to configure them as an Access Point to automatically replicate the internet line of the operator's router, thus improving wireless performance in the simplest way in terms of installation, since it is enough to connect them by LAN network cable (included) to the operator's router and activate this button on the back.
Main features of the DIR-895L and DIR-885L Ultra-WiFi Routers
- New Wave 2 evolution on the Wi-Fi 802.11ac standard
- Hybrid Router, Native Access Point Mode via switch, ideal to complement your operator's router to generate a state-of-the-art WiFi network.
- Triple band (2x5GHz, 1x2.4GHz) to reach 5300 Mbps in the DIR895L and dual band (5 GHz/2.4 GHz) with a speed of 3150 Mbps in the DIR-885L, to achieve exceptional performance in speed, bandwidth and coverage to get the most out of 500 Mbps fiber connections and enjoy 4K Streaming.
- 1.4 GHz dual-core processor.
- MU-MIMO technology to send multiple data streams simultaneously and increase performance when multiple devices are connected.
- Advanced AC SmartBeam: Sends the signal directly to each device to optimize efficiency, avoiding signal dispersion.
- SmartConnect: Connects each device to the most suitable band (2.4/5 GHz x2 in the case of the DIR-895L) to optimize speed.
- 4 Gigabit LAN ports for maximum speed of 1000 Mbps on wired connections.
- Remote management from mobile devices of network status, connected users, page views and parental control with the free mydlink lite app.
- Intelligent QoS for traffic prioritization based on bandwidth demand.
- High-power external antennas, 8 on the DIR-895L and 4 on the DIR-885L
- USB 3.0 port compatible with the free mydlink SharePort app to view the contents of a USB key or hard drive on mobile phones and tablets.
- DLNA support for use as a media server.
- Mobile and tablet-friendly web interface for advanced management. Compatible with open-source DD-WRT for advanced users.
