The Z-MAX 6A patch panels also feature a unique Quick-Snap panel design, allowing patch outlets to be quickly snapped into place or removed to expedite initial deployment and subsequent moves, additions, and changes. Designed specifically for Z-MAX panels, the Z-MAX 6A patch outlets utilize the same best-in-class termination process as the Z-MAX hybrid outlets. Using the simple, patent-pending Z-TOOL™ tool, shielded and unshielded Z-MAX 6A patch outlets can be terminated in as little as 60 seconds from start to finish, including wire preparation, and snap easily into the panel.
The panel's Quick Snap design makes it ideal for use with Z-MAX 6A pre-terminated cable groups. Trunk links, equipped with Z-MAX 6A panel connection jacks, are configured specifically to customer requirements, enabling rapid deployment of links in high-density environments such as data centers to minimize installation time. This precise fit, combined with Z-MAX's Quick Snap panel design, significantly reduces installation time—up to 75 percent compared to separately terminated channels. By consolidating multiple cabling channels, these trunk links also improve cable organization and space utilization in raised floors or cable trays, while facilitating efficient moves, additions, and changes.
These durable panels are constructed of lightweight, high-strength steel with an industrial black finish, scratch/fade-resistant port markings, and user-friendly integrated cable management. Port identification is enhanced by a magnified labeling system for high visibility of the Z-MAX panel.
Z-MAX 6A shielded panels feature built-in Quick Ground™ technology, which automatically grounds the shielded Z-MAX 6A modules to the panel upon insertion, eliminating additional grounding steps. Both shielded and unshielded Z-MAX 6A panels are available as complete kits, including patch panels, Z-MAX panel connection sockets, and all necessary accessories. Empty panels are also available for use with pre-terminated Z-MAX cable assemblies. The
