Assembled in just 5 minutes, the new 7" and 45U vertical cable managers mount in Siemon's 2-post cabinet (RS1-07-S), as well as other Siemon cabinet options, for a rapid-deployment cable and rack management system. Available in widths of 4" (10 cm), 6" (15 cm), 10" (25 cm), and 12" (300 cm), the VVCMs are offered in single- or double-sided versions to accommodate a wide range of infrastructure topologies. They simultaneously support cable management for high-density patch fields, horizontal cable routing, PDU mounting, and equipment power cable deployment.
Unlike most contractor vertical cable managers, which use difficult-to-handle snap-on covers, Siemon's VVCM line features dual-hinged doors with one-finger spring-release clips at each corner. This user-friendly design allows the doors to open in any direction for improved path accessibility and is much easier to open, close, remove, and replace than snap-on covers.
VVCMs also feature Siemon's high-capacity cable management design. Capable of handling large quantities of cables and larger diameter wires in high-density environments as challenging as 48-port Category 6A 1U patch panels, the "fingers" align with each U-shaped space, providing clear pathways for transitioning to the vertical cable management space.
Within the vertical management space itself, the VVCM's versatile divider plate design provides a variety of mounting options for cable management accessories and PDUs, including quarter-turn managers and hook-and-loop tabs for efficient cable installation and bundle separation, fiber reels for simple slack management, and standard PDU button mounts. The divider plates can also be reversed, allowing for additional vertical space at the front or rear of the manager as needed.
The VVCM line is delivered in ultra-compact, lightweight packaging to minimize shipping costs and storage space requirements. Leveraging a modular, half-height design, the VVCM ships flat to simplify material handling on the job site, while offering extremely quick and easy assembly.
