LightCounting expects sequential growth of 10% in optical transceiver sales in the current quarter, following a flat first quarter. Most of the growth will come from 800G Ethernet transceiver sales, as shown in the figure below. Initial sales of 1.6T transceivers, which are not shown in the chart, will also contribute modestly to the market in the second quarter. Sales of 400G Ethernet modules will decline as Amazon and Meta transition to higher-speed modules.

Google has signed two partnership agreements with carbon removal companies Recoolit and Cool Effect to support the removal of more than 25,000 tons of "superpollutants" by 2030, according to an article published by DCD.
Superpollutants are defined as any gas that warms the atmosphere more than CO2 per ton. These include methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and fluorinated gases (HFCs and HCFCs).
