New features included: "Automatic fiber optic laying function" and "Fiber end slack correction function"

Automatic Fiber Fit™ Alignment Function:
The new “100R” mass fusion splicer is equipped with an automatic fiber fit function. This function aligns optical fibers that do not fit correctly in the V-groove—used for high-precision axial alignment—during placement, reducing the need for repositioning fibers and shortening overall job time.
Before After
Fiber End Gap Correction Function:
A fiber end gap correction function has also been incorporated for the first time. This function automatically equalizes the gap between the left and right fiber end faces before fusion splicing. This function reduces connection loss compared to previous models.
Before gap correction. After gap correction.

Other features
New "FH-80 Series" Optical Fiber Support
The tip-mounted clamping mechanism improves fiber placement performance when using intermittently bonded ribbon fibers (SWR™).

FH-80-12 (for 12-fiber tape)
The fiber supports and V-slots, as in previous models, are available in a range that suits the number of optical fiber cores and the spacing between fibers, and the operator can replace them according to the optical fibers to be spliced by fusion.

SPLICE COACH™ Function
Equipped with the "SPLICE COACH™ Function", which explains the connection procedure, even inexperienced users can perform the job without problems.
Step-by-step guide screen during preparation

This screen corresponds to a development version and may differ from the final product.
GPS Function:
The results of the connection inspection are recorded along with the connection's position information, improving construction management efficiency and traceability. This data can be downloaded to a smartphone using the "Splice+" app.
Also equipped with conventional functions:
It also incorporates features found in conventional models, such as automatic opening and closing of the windshield, ACTIVE FUSION CONTROL TECHNOLOGY™, which automatically controls download conditions, and ACTIVE BLADE MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY™, which wirelessly manages the fiber optic cleaver's cutting blades, achieving stable, low-loss connections.
