Miniature 10G OEO Media Converter and Regenerator FR-2211
Davantel introduces the FR-2211 miniature 10G media converter. This IEEE802.3an (10Gbase-T) to IEEE802.3ae (10Gbase-SR/LR/ER/ZR) media converter supports jumbo frames and minimal latency between ports.
It comes with an external 220Vac power supply and can also be installed in the FR-2000 19" wide x 1U chassis, which has a capacity for 12 converters and offers redundant power supply options at 220Vac or -48Vdc. The FR-2212, on the other hand, is a converter with two SFP ports that supports modules with speeds between 125M and 11.7G (i.e., 100M, 1000M, and 10G Ethernet). It can be used as a signal regenerator to extend fiber optic coverage or as an MM-to-SM converter for any of the aforementioned speeds. Like the FR-2211, it comes with an external 220Vac power supply but can also be installed in the FR-2000 19" chassis.
