Nokia has namedThierry Amarger has a long and distinguished international career, with over 15 years in the technology and telecommunications industry. Since joining Nokia in July 2006, Amarger has played a key role in developing Nokia's business in Latin America, leading the Telefónica account.


Previously, he worked for 10 years for the French multinational Gemplus (now Gemalto) where he held several executive positions in the areas of sales, marketing and management in different countries, his last position being that of director of the Banking and Government business unit for Brazil and the countries of the Southern Cone.


He has also worked at Citroën and provided consulting services at Marketing Méditerranée. He was also President of the European Confederation of Junior Enterprises.


Agerger, born in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1973, holds a degree in Business Administration from the École Supérieure de Commerce de Marseille and an International Executive MBA from IE Business School. He is married and has three children.
