Livingston has added Anritsu's comprehensive optical network field tester to its growing rental portfolio. The newly introduced MT1000A Network Master Pro is a compact and highly portable device optimized for performing a variety of field tests on optical transport network (OTN) infrastructure.It can handle the multiple communication protocols currently being incorporated into modern telecommunications technology. Together with Anritsu's MU100010A multi-speed transmission module, it has the necessary capability to test 10Gbit/s network protocols such as 10G Ethernet and Fibre Channel, as well as SDH/SONET. It also supports the latest OTN features, such as ODU0 and ODUflex, in addition to PDH and DSn interfaces.
The unit features a 9-inch, 800×480-pixel touchscreen display. This provides field test operators with a highly intuitive user interface with a logical structure and self-explanatory graphic symbols. This helps minimize the possibility of errors and reduces the required training time. Test data can be transferred via the MT1000A's USB, WLAN, and Bluetooth connectivity. Reports can be generated in PDF or XML format.
