This will strengthen Spain's supercomputing and data storage capacity, with a direct impact on areas such as scientific research, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. The new data center will be a state-of-the-art facility designed to house supercomputers, massive storage systems, and quantum computing infrastructure. This project is part of the "Strategic Plan for Distributed ICTS RES 2021-2024," funded by the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan with NextGenerationEU funds, and has a budget exceeding €13 million.
IDP will assume the management and execution of the project, the coordination of health and safety, and the role of support entity for the contract owner, including monitoring the restoration of affected services and supervising the implementation of environmental impact mitigation measures. The building will have a usable floor area exceeding 2,500 m2, distributed between the ground and first floors. It will also include an outdoor area of over 2,200 m2 for housing service equipment. All of this will be developed on a 9,178 m2 plot located in the A Sionlla Business Park in Santiago de Compostela (Galicia).
