Radiotrans has been selected to equip more than 300 vehicles belonging to the Portuguese Forest Rangers with radio communication systems to ensure improved surveillance of Portuguese forests. In response to the significant increase in forest fires during last year's summer season, the Portuguese government has decided to increase investment in equipment for the various agents working to protect, manage, and monitor forests and woodlands.

For this reason, Radiotrans has been chosen to supply portable and mobile, analog and digital (DMR and TETRA) radios for each of the 300 work units of the forest rangers.

According to Juliana Bastos, Business Development Manager Portugal at Radiotrans: “The type of supplies, which include a mix of terminals with different technologies (analog, DMR, and TETRA), along with our knowledge of the Portuguese market and how to meet end-user needs, were the determining factors in Radiotrans' selection. We are very proud to contribute to the fight against forest fires with our knowledge and experience in radio communication systems.”.
