The 2017 “Climate A” list has been presented in a report by
CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project). This report serves as a global benchmark for companies to compare their climate performance, demonstrating that international corporations have begun their transition to a low-carbon economy and are reaping the benefits. In 2017, the CDP increased the eligibility requirements for inclusion on the list, which was compiled for 803 investors with assets of $100 trillion.
CDP rankings are becoming increasingly influential among companies and their stakeholders. The number of companies applying for inclusion has increased by 33% since 2013 and now represents 56% of the global market capitalization.
Schneider Electric's commitment to sustainability has been recognized year after year in various indices, such as Corporate Knights' Carbon Clean 200 List, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, Ethisphere's World's Most Ethical Companies, and Fortune's ranking of companies that are changing the world. Since 2005, the group has also measured its efforts with its own Planet & Society Barometer, the company's sustainable development index, the results of which are published quarterly.
The “Climate A” list, along with a report on each company participating in the CDP’s climate change program, are available on the CDP website.
