Regarding the initiative's objectives, Penide stated: “The company has identified a number of attractive business opportunities that we want to capitalize on. To do this, we need to determine the most suitable technologies and work on them to develop products and services that provide added value and allow us to gain a competitive edge in the markets. Having a dedicated R&D engineering team focused exclusively on these projects allows us to work more efficiently and achieve results within shorter timeframes.”.
Arteixo Telecom is thus taking its investment policy in innovation and the development of its own products a step further. This strategy has already yielded brilliant results, such as the Re-Visio router, which provides broadband internet access on buses and trams; the ultra-fast adapter for creating home networks of up to one gigabit per second; and the GlobalPosition integrated fleet management system.
Organization by business units
Diversification is one of the four business units that make up the new organization of Arteixo Telecom. The other three are: Industrial Contracting, which encompasses the company's traditional activities (industrialization, manufacturing, after-sales service, and repairs); Transport, dedicated to the development of telecommunications systems and solutions for this sector, with a focus on rail and road transport; and Installations, specializing in the deployment and maintenance of infrastructure.
With this new organizational structure, the company aims to highlight its ability to cover the entire product cycle, from design and development to manufacturing and after-sales service; to promote innovation; to access new markets; and to increase its business volume.
