Cambium Networks' Elevate technology has enabled Telsinet to more than triple the bandwidth for businesses and homes by replacing just a few antennas in the transport network and updating the software on users' routers. This also increases Telsinet's network capacity to serve more users. The Valencian company Telsinet, based in Gandía, along with Wifidom and Cambium Networks, made this project possible.
Despite the huge influx of summer tourists and the significant population settled in the region, its inhabitants do not have fiber optics and cable or 3G/4G connections are insufficient, a fact that encouraged Telsinet, six years ago, to deploy a wireless Internet access network based on point-to-point and point-to-multipoint systems that made it possible to bring Internet to any place in the region and which was configured as the best option in the area.
The increasing needs of users—65% residential and 35% business—the improvement of service, and the new opportunities offered by recent technological developments encouraged Telsinet to explore new options for expanding its network capabilities. The operator opted for the Cambium Networks solution proposed by Wifidom.
