Thanks to this initiative, users will be able to enjoy a "triple play" communications package, which includes 50 Mbps symmetrical internet access, unlimited 24-hour calls, and more than 45 television channels.

This project has already been adopted by more than 2,600 households, which now have access to an advanced communications service based on a fiber optic connection. Orange has joined "W!ladecans, Digital City," a proposal that includes the development of four ICT projects to promote the Information Society in this municipality.

Carles Ruiz, Mayor of Viladecans, stated at the signing of the agreement: "Today, an important step has been taken to bring fiber optics to the homes of the city, a technology of the future with which citizens will have privileged access to new services that will be available in the medium and long term."

For his part, Jean Marc Vignolles, CEO of Orange, highlighted that: “This is a good opportunity to test a pioneering model in Spain, which consists of sharing a fiber optic infrastructure network between a city council and a private operator. We support any initiative of this type because it allows us to accelerate timelines and share costs to make this new technology available to the public, which would otherwise take much longer to arrive.”
