Surveillance Station 8.0 Beta includes the following new features:
- Surveillance Station Client: In addition to live viewing and channel management within web browsers, users can now install the Surveillance Station Client for twice the speed of live viewing and a smoother experience, freeing them from browser limitations.
- Multiple Streaming: Enables automatic and manual resolution adjustments based on the monitoring window size or the event being viewed, saving bandwidth when working with multiple channels.
- Advanced Action Rules: Includes more advanced action rules and events to further automate the surveillance system. Through the flexible use of logical operators and the management of multiple events, actions can be triggered when one or all predefined criteria are met.
- Automatic Fault Recovery: Users can enable fault recovery in the CMS for Surveillance Station 8.0 Beta. This allows them to enjoy a robust surveillance infrastructure, minimizing downtime, requiring fewer servers, and with lower investment in costs and management.
- New codecs: Surveillance Station 8.0 Beta now supports the new H.265 codec, allowing users to utilize more cameras and choose between them while offering live viewing and recording. All this while consuming 25% less bandwidth² and providing a faster streaming experience. It also supports Hikvision® Optimized H.264+ and ZAVIO® Smart Stream.
- VS360HD firmware update: The VS360HD firmware has been updated so users can freely connect to the NAS and manage almost all of the surveillance station's features from there. QuickConnect ID and HTTPS connections are also supported, allowing users to easily access Surveillance Station from anywhere in the world.
