Surveillance Station 7.1 beta introduces the following features:
- RTSP for a smoother surveillance experience: RTSP support increases video streaming performance, providing an even smoother experience when viewing in Surveillance Station or DS cam (for iOS devices). Developers can also leverage RTSP support to integrate video streaming into third-party systems.
- Multicast improves bandwidth efficiency in numerous use cases: Multicast support reduces workload and bandwidth consumption when running Surveillance Station in environments where multiple clients are viewing video feeds. This means multiple security personnel can monitor different workstations simultaneously and in live feed without impacting system performance.
- Advanced live alerts and notifications streamline video management: For large-scale surveillance deployments with hundreds of cameras, monitoring cameras one by one can be inefficient. Thanks to some modifications, Live View Analytics alerts are now displayed on cameras not included in Live View. Events can also be highlighted directly on an E-map, allowing users to immediately see the camera and location of these suspicious events.
- Robust CMS performance and stability: Surveillance Station 7.1 increases the speed at which recordings and event information are transferred from the recording servers, thanks to an improved database structure and the addition of multiple dedicated links between the main server and the recording servers. Furthermore, revamped license management enhances the stability of the CMS.
- Enhanced ONVIF compatibility provides greater flexibility: In addition to providing native integration for source recording (saving video files on the camera itself) on some camera models, Surveillance Station now supports source recording on many more models thanks to ONVIF Profile G. Furthermore, improvements in ONVIF Profile S make it easier to find and add compatible cameras to Surveillance Station using the "ONVIF Search" option. These new features provide users with greater flexibility and simpler video surveillance system installation.
