Configurable line width laser
AMS Technologies presents configurable linewidth lasers with low noise and a compact package. Pure Photonics produces configurable 1550nm lasers with a 10kHz linewidth and ultra-low FM noise.
Scintil Photonics will introduce LEAF Light™, the world’s first single-chip, multi-wavelength laser source that delivers the speed, range, energy efficiency, and low latency required for scaling networks. Scintil’s compact DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) remote light source, featuring the world’s most precise wavelength spacing, is a vital component within the emerging packaged DWDM architecture that addresses the challenges of scalable AI data centers.
The silicon photonics and PIC market is experiencing strong growth, driven by the rise of AI and the demand for data communication transceivers. Major companies in the sector, such as Intel, Coherent, and Infinera, are actively using PICs in their transceivers.
The new LP-RH series CO2 laser marking systems are specifically designed for industries with particularly demanding requirements in terms of speed and functionality, and are available in 10, 20, and 30 W power outputs.
They offer a significant improvement in marking and processing quality. Thanks to an ultra-fast galvanometric scanner, they can mark moving objects at a line speed of up to 240 m/min.
Phlux Technology announces its first products, the Aura family of 1550 nm devices based on the company's Noiseless InGaAs™ APD technology. The sensors are 12 times more sensitive than traditional, best-in-class InGaAs APDs. As a result, the operating range of LiDAR, laser rangefinders, and fiber optic test equipment can be extended by up to 50% with Phlux sensors, which directly replace surface-mount or TO-packaged components.
EXFO has announced the availability of a next-generation, continuously tunable laser, the first in a new series of tunable lasers designed to provide cost-optimized testing of transceivers and optical components in high-volume manufacturing. Transceiver manufacturers face the challenge of producing thousands of high-quality devices daily to support data centers that have 50,000 or more transceivers deployed at each location.
Geforest, thanks to LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology, generates digital twins that capture parameters and measurements of forests to determine their actual condition. This, combined with artificial intelligence, allows for the parameterization and automation of forest inventory.
The lasers in TOPTICA's CTL product family are made to be ideal tools for exciting microcavities or quantum dots, for pumping micro honeycombs, as well as for component testing and spectroscopy.
Christie® today unveiled the smallest, lightest, and quietest all-in-one RGB projector package on the market. The new M 4K25 RGB builds on the M Series' legacy of reliability, durability, and innovation.
Temperature measurements taken with pyrometers have the significant advantage of not requiring any contact with the object being measured. However, this also presents a challenge: the pyrometer must be aligned with the object being measured, and if necessary, the optics must be focused. This challenge can be optimally met with the new 3M CSvideo Pyrometer from Optris.
Optoscribe Ltd has announced the launch of OptoCplrLT™, a monolithic glass chip for low-loss coupling to silicon photonics (SiPh) grid couplers. OptoCplrLT™ is designed to overcome the challenges of fiber-to-photonic integrated circuit (PIC) coupling of SiPhs, enabling high-volume automated assembly.
A research team from Australian universities Monash, Swinburne, and RMIT has recorded what they claim is the world's fastest internet speed using a single optical chip: 44.2 Tbps. The researchers were able to perform network load tests using 76.6 km of "dark" optical fibers installed in Melbourne.
The new Coherent HighLight FL4000CSM-ARM fiber laser builds upon the Coherent HighLight ARM fiber laser series already qualified for automotive applications. This new laser enables more advanced welding capabilities for metals with high thermal conductivity and aligns with the welding requirements for electric mobility, energy storage, and general electrical interconnects consisting of dissimilar materials, such as copper and aluminum, and aluminum foil stacks that require precise control.
