Camera Station 3.40 is a comprehensive video management software for monitoring, recording, and viewing video surveillance systems with up to 50 cameras. Specifically designed for Axis network video products and with ease of use in mind, it is simple to operate thanks to features such as automatic camera detection, powerful event management, an excellent recording search engine, and an efficient evidence export mechanism. Camera Station 3.40, installed on any PC, allows remote viewing and control of devices from anywhere via the internet or the corporate network. Camera Station is a robust video management solution with over 35,000 installations worldwide.

It features a powerful search function with chronological viewing of recordings (from up to 25 cameras simultaneously) and export capabilities. Floor plan and map support allows for a panoramic view of the monitored area, as well as quick access to any network camera in the facility. Controlling PTZ and dome cameras with a joystick or mouse provides sensitive and precise control of pan, tilt, and zoom functions. Digital PTZ control is available for both live view and playback.

Camera Station 3.40 is an ideal video surveillance solution for commercial establishments, hotels, schools, and other locations. It allows you to view, record, and export high-quality video in H.264, MPEG-4, and Motion JPEG compression formats. Support for progressive scan and megapixel and HDTV resolutions further enhances identification capabilities and guarantees superior image quality compared to DVR solutions with analog cameras.

Some of the most relevant features of Axis Camera Station are its active tamper alarm capabilities, which detect if the cameras have been moved or covered to prevent image capture or if they have stopped working; the Corridor Format feature, which provides a 9:16 aspect ratio for HDTV cameras; and Cross Line Detection, which allows the establishment of virtual lines in the video that, if crossed by a person or object, allows actions such as recording, bringing the camera image window to the foreground, or sending email alerts.

One of the most appreciated features in professional installations is the so-called "Fail Over Recording" which allows recordings to be made on an SD card in the camera if the network connection is lost and, once the connection is restored, it dumps the sequences from the SD card and consolidates the recordings.

Camera Station is specifically designed for Axis IP video products and incorporates a versatile Event Setup Wizard with powerful recording, search, and timeline viewing capabilities. It also includes security features such as multiple user access levels with password protection and a database with unlimited recordings, limited only by disk space. It offers an open architecture and provides a well-documented API for easy integration with other systems such as Point of Sale or Access Control systems.
