The GS2011M reduces design time. The module is compatible with the IEEE 802.11b/g/n standard and meets Wi-Fi Alliance certification requirements.
It includes two analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) for signal and sensor measurement. The module manages Wi-Fi networks and the TCP/IP stack, completely freeing the main microcontroller. It also incorporates major security protocols, including WPA/WPA2-Enterprise and Personal security modes, WEP encryption, and higher-layer security protocols such as TLS/SSL and HTTPS. For easy connectivity, the module can be configured from a smartphone or laptop via Limited AP mode or Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS).
The GS2011M features extended range, excellent receive sensitivity, and a μFL connector for adding an external antenna for maximum performance or a ceramic chip antenna for a simpler, more compact design. Certifications: USA/Canada (FCC/IC), Europe (ETSI), and Japan (TELEC).
