Compared to the log-periodic antennas commonly used for field measurements, the new OmniLOG 70600 antenna is capable of measuring both direct and radial field strength. The rotation method typically used to detect peak signal levels is unnecessary, as the OmniLOG 70600 does not require orientation. This allows for significantly faster measurements. The antenna comes with its standard calibration data and enables precise field strength measurements. With the OmniLOG 70600 antenna, users can directly detect field strength at any point.
Its small dimensions of only 173 x 62 x 9 mm and its weight of only 54 grams make the OmniLOG 70600 ideal for use with small and portable measuring devices. The OmniLOG 70600 features an SMA connector with an innovative, high-quality swivel element that allows for 0–90° tilting. With the optional adapter, it can also be used with any standard spectrum analyzer that has an N-type connector.
Aaronia AG's Spectran V4 spectrum analyzers support the OmniLOG 70600 and convert measured values directly into field strength. Aaronia's "MCS" PC software also supports the OmniLOG 70600 antenna. Pre-stored, detailed calibration data enables accurate field strength measurement across the entire frequency range from 680 MHz to 6 GHz.
