To ensure reliable communication, the module incorporates direct-sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) technology, providing high resistance to interference in the 2.4 GHz band and achieving a line-of-sight range of over 300 meters. Its low-voltage operation allows for battery power.

True diversity, achieved through two independent receiving circuits, ensures that the highest-level signal is demodulated, providing stable communication and preventing interruptions due to multipath interference. Furthermore, it offers transmission diversity through antenna selection.

Configuration via commands is possible through a serial interface, with additional data input and output terminals providing a transparent interface for using custom or existing protocols without the need for adjustments.
In addition to individual channel configuration, the channel hopping option allows the user to program and cycle through a channel plan (up to 20 channels) on the STD-504 using a switching pin.
