The RSA5000N and RSA3000N series now feature integrated VNA functionality as standard and are characterized by their compact, elegant design and touchscreen operation for even more diverse applications. The instruments are available in various bandwidths, from 9 kHz to 1.5 GHz or even up to 6.5 GHz.

Available models (VNA mode: from 100 kHz):
• RSA5032N: 9 kHz to 3.2 GHz
• RSA5065N: 9 kHz to 6.5 GHz
• RSA3015N: 9 kHz to 1.5 GHz
• RSA3030N: 9 kHz to 3 GHz
• RSA3045N: 9 kHz to 4.5 GHz

The RSA5000N and RSA3000N series feature a modular design and, in addition to the new VNA function, also include the four familiar function modules: RTSA (real-time spectrum analyzer up to a maximum bandwidth of 40 MHz), GPSA (sweep-based spectrum analyzer with outstanding performance), EMI (pre-compliance testing according to CISPR specifications), and VSA (vector signal analysis for different digital demodulations and bit error measurement, RSA5000N only).
Real-time spectrum analyzers perform important functions in many testing laboratories and are often considered equivalent to more expensive alternatives. The RSA5000N or RSA3000N series, with its enhanced entry-level performance, offers a cost-effective alternative for users with demanding analysis tasks and limited budgets. This fully equipped instrument features fully digital IF (intermediate frequency) technology for precise, high-resolution measurements across the entire frequency range from 9 kHz to 6.5 GHz.
The instruments have a 10.1” capacitive multi-touch display with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels and receive their input signals via a 50 Ω N-type connector. PC connections are possible via Ethernet LAN and USB. The tracking generator in both series can be configured and used in GPSA and VNA modes with an output power from -40 to 0 dBm. The devices can also be operated via web control.
The RSA5000N/RSA3000N series has a modular design and now includes five functions, making these devices unique due to this versatility.

• VNA (new): Vector network analyzer with 100 kHz to 6.5 GHz bandwidth and high dynamics (integrated standard).
• RTSA: Real-time spectrum analyzer with up to 40 MHz maximum real-time bandwidth.
• GPSA: Spectrum analyzer with exceptional performance.
• EMI: Pre-compliance testing according to CISPR guidelines.
• VSA - Digital demodulation (RSA5000N only).

rigol RSA3015N 01-wThe new VNA module,
with a frequency range from 100 kHz to 6.5 GHz, fulfills all standard network analysis tasks, such as vector reflection (S11) and transmission factor (S21) measurements, as well as time-range implementation for distance error (DTF) measurements, for example, on cables. The dynamic range of the S21 measurement is [missing information].
Representations:
• S21: Linear and logarithmic transmission loss phase, group delay, and more.
• S11: Smith and polar diagrams, phase and group delay, reflection factor, VSWR, and much more.
• DTF: Linear and logarithmic using losses and VSWR.

RTSA Module:
The real-time bandwidth for the RSA5000N is 25 MHz as standard (10 MHz for the RSA3000N as standard) and can be optionally expanded to 40 MHz for both series. Thanks to its very fast FFT calculation, the device can achieve a 100% probability of interception (POI) with the correct amplitude of up to 9.3 µs (Full Scale). This allows for the recording of signals that can no longer be measured with a standard spectrum analyzer. Due to the high level of information provided, various measurements can be displayed, such as voltage-frequency visualization, spectrograms, or performance over time. All these displays can also be shown simultaneously. The versatile Frequency Mask Trigger (FMT) can be used to acquire signals that are difficult to determine. By utilizing different filter types and six different RBW widths, the device can be optimally adjusted to the specific application.

More details:
• FFT rate up to 146,484 FFT/s
• PDI: 9.3 µs
• Integrated FMT and power trigger
• Interface: USB, LAN, HDMI

GPSA Module:
A spectrum analyzer is used to display signal amplitudes as a function of frequency and offers the user a selection of IF filters to reduce the displayed bandwidth and isolate a dedicated signal from surrounding noise. Thanks to the RSA5000 spectrum analyzer's digital IF technology, amplitude deviations over time and frequency can be significantly reduced compared to analog filters. The effective measurement speed is more than twice that of the DSA800 series. Amplitude values can be measured with the integrated attenuation (adjustable from 0 to 50 dB) up to +30 dBm. The typical phase noise power of the RSA5000 is -108 dBc/Hz at 1 GHz at a distance of 10 kHz from the carrier signal and is unique in this price range.

Further details:
• DANL: RSA5000N up to
• Phase noise: RSA5000N
• Pmax: +30 dBm
• Internal attenuation: 0 to 50 dB adjustable in 1 dB steps.
The RSA5000N and RSA3000N series have 3 dB resolution bandwidth (RBW) filters and video bandwidth (VBW) filters that can be configured from 1 Hz to 10 MHz in 1-3-10 steps. The user can set frequency ranges from "zero interval" up to the instrument's full bandwidth (9 kHz to 6.5 GHz).

EMI Module:
With the integrated EMI option, which includes all EMI filters and additional detectors (Quasi Peak/CISPR Average), expandable measurement functions can be performed for pre-compliance testing of assemblies, devices, and components with the RSA3000N and RSA5000N series. Customers can conduct cost-effective preliminary testing in-house before submitting products to external, certified, and expensive testing laboratories. This ensures compliance with EU EMC standards during product development.
The following features are integrated into this option and guarantee rapid evaluation:
CISPR-16-1-1 detectors, CISPR-16-1-1 bandwidths, logarithmic and linear representation, signal result tables, flexible scan tables, simultaneous detectors on meters, automatic limiting with delta consideration, marker measurements, test report generation, and external component correction can all be handled directly on the device.

VSA Module:
The RSA5000N series VSA module features multiple functions, including RF I/Q envelope analysis and flexible digital modulation analysis. The FMT trigger is based on Ultra Real technology for acquisition and modulation analysis. This enables the measurement and analysis of wireless connection and communication standards, as well as BER testing for known signal sequences. Modulation formats include FSK2, FSK4, FSK8, MSK, BPSK, QPSK, OQPSK, DQPSK, 8PSK, π/4-DQPSK, π/8-D8PSK, D8PSK, QAM16, QAM32, QAM64, ASK2, and ASK4. Analysis results can be displayed as time-domain signal amplitude, spectrum, eye diagram, constellation diagram, vector, error vector size, quadrature error, amplitude error, and phase error.
The RSA3000N series offers a simplified form of the VSA module for ASK/FSK demodulation and BER testing.
