Keysight's enhanced PNA and PNA-X network analyzers feature a unique, ultra-low-spurious Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) source that enables customers to perform accurate measurements with reduced phase noise interference. With these pure stimulus signals, customers can perform two-tone IMD averages with a closeness between tones previously only achievable with high-performance analog signal generators. The new DDS sources also improve the performance of many measurement applications, such as modulation distortion measurements, phase-sensitive SMC measurements, and IQ converter measurements, achieving exceptional speed in characterizing mixers and frequency converters. The third RF source, available on the PNA-X up to 13.5 GHz, simplifies measurement setup by eliminating the need for an external signal generator to power the local oscillator.
