The Eye Diagram options for VectorStar and Advanced Time Domain (ATD) for ShockLine are part of Anritsu's enhanced signal integrity capabilities, providing engineers with improved tools for channel diagnostics and validation of high-speed digital circuit design models.
“The ever-increasing data transmission speeds are making signal channel characterization increasingly difficult. As a result, vector network analyzers are becoming key tools for signal integrity measurements, thanks to their added data processing and visualization capabilities. For these reasons, we have added more tools to the VectorStar and Shockline vector network analyzer families that can help signal integrity engineers be more efficient when analyzing their designs,” said Dr. Jon Martens, a researcher at Anritsu.
The VectorStar and ShockLine families of vector network analyzers provide complementary capabilities that allow signal integrity engineers to meet their measurement needs across a wide range of applications. VectorStar is Anritsu's highest-performing line of vector network analyzers and is often used by signal integrity engineers with the most demanding design requirements. For example, some designers want their test systems to be able to include up to the
5th harmonic of the system clock. VectorStar offers 2- and 4-port wideband configurations
from 70 kHz to 70 GHz, 110 GHz, and 145 GHz with a single coaxial connection and is capable of supporting the latest digital data transmission rates, such as 25/28 Gbps and 43 Gbps. Anritsu's ShockLine family of vector network analyzers also achieves excellent performance, but with less capacity at a lower price point for less demanding signal integrity applications. This makes ShockLine vector network analyzers well-suited for systems with lower data transmission speeds or in manufacturing applications.
Signal Integrity Solutions:
Following the introduction of the Eye Diagram options for VectorStar and ATD for ShockLine, engineers now have a more comprehensive toolset to meet channel design and modeling requirements for signal integrity. For applications demanding peak performance, the high-level capabilities of VectorStar vector network analyzers and the affordable performance of the ShockLine family provide Anritsu with a wide range of solutions for current and future signal integrity challenges.
