The reference solution for E-band signal analysis offers a powerful test platform for analyzing new communication standards operating at millimeter-wave frequencies. Its dual-channel capability allows for simultaneous testing of multi-channel devices, different antenna polarizations, and channel probe measurements.

The reference solution consists of a combination of software and hardware instruments. The new N8838A external mixer auxiliary software allows the S-Series oscilloscope to control the MXG N5183B X-Series microwave signal generator and the M1971E intelligent waveguide mixer. Engineers can also perform valuable measurements for complex signal analysis using the 89601B vector signal analysis software. This makes it easy to obtain accurate, calibrated E-band signal measurements.

“As applications like 5G, WiGig, vehicle speed cameras, and millimeter-wave return traffic become more common, there is a need for an easy-to-use, low-cost, high-performance solution,” explained Dave Cipriani, vice president and general manager of Keysight’s Oscilloscope Division. “This reference solution enables customers to develop these new technologies faster and more efficiently.”

Keysight will be showcasing its new reference solution for E-band signal analysis at the International Microwave Symposium, booth 1239, Moscone Center, San Francisco, May 22-27.
