ConecblueThe OLP425 can be supplied separately, with its digital and analog GPIOs, or together with a battery, temperature sensor, accelerometers and humidity sensor.

The connectBlue OLP425 low-power Bluetooth platform module comes with a set of digital and analog GPIO pins. The module can be equipped to support additional customer requirements with a battery, temperature sensor, accelerometers, and a humidity sensor. Users can add their own embedded application software to the OLP425 low-power Bluetooth platform module using IAR Embedded Workbench. Customer application software options include asset access and management for machines and devices, data conversion, data acquisition, and logic.

Since Bluetooth Low Energy technology is particularly well-suited for small mobile devices, connectBlue introduces a new standard for Bluetooth Low Energy platform modules with the OLP425. The OLP425 features a radio type approved by the FCC, IC, and R&TTE, compliant with EMC, Safety, and Medical standards, and Bluetooth 4.0 certified. These certifications allow customers to save development resources and easily integrate wireless communication without lengthy and costly approval and qualification processes.

One example of an application for the OLP425 module as a low-energy Bluetooth platform is the collaboration between connectBlue and Tridentify (announced on October 12, 2011). This solution revolutionizes the handling of blood bags, enabling blood banks to increase blood availability, traceability, and quality.
