New additions include the SSG6089A, which extends the frequency coverage of the SSG6000A series up to 67 GHz, and the new SSG6M80A family, available with two or four phase-coherent RF channels and frequencies up to 20 GHz. Both solutions are designed to meet the requirements of wireless communication systems, radar, and high-frequency electronic applications. Their applications include 5G and 6G technology research, satellite communications, receiver testing, and multi-antenna systems.

SSG6089A: Signal Generation from 100 kHz to 67 GHz.
The new SIGLENT SSG6089A extends the operating range of the SSG6000A family, which previously reached 40 GHz. The instrument offers frequency coverage from 100 kHz to 67 GHz, enabling testing in high microwave and millimeter wave bands. It features a frequency adjustment resolution of 0.001 Hz and supports analog amplitude, frequency, and phase modulation. It also incorporates frequency and amplitude sweep functions, optional pulse generation, and power meter control. These features make it suitable for microwave component characterization, receiver evaluation, radar development, and wireless communication system research.

offering output levels up to +30 dBm and low-phase noise options
. The optional high-power configuration allows for output levels up to +30 dBm in certain frequency ranges. This capability facilitates the generation of higher-level signals without the need for additional external amplifiers in appropriate applications. Furthermore, the low-phase noise option is designed to improve the spectral purity of the generated signal.

With the SSG6080A-LPH2 option, the series achieves a typical phase noise of −149 dBc/Hz, measured with a 1 GHz carrier and a 10 kHz offset.

SSG6M80A: Up to Four Phase-Coherent RF Channels.
The second new addition is the SSG6M80A series, designed for applications requiring the generation of multiple radio frequency signals with controlled phase relationships. This family is available in two- or four-channel configurations, with frequency ranges from 9 kHz to 13.6 GHz or 20 GHz, depending on the model. Each channel can be independently configured for frequency, amplitude, phase, and time delay.

One of its main features is phase coherence between channels, both within a single instrument and between several synchronized generators. This architecture allows the generation of RF signals with defined phase relationships, necessary for evaluating phased antenna systems, beamforming techniques, MIMO configurations, and multichannel receivers.

0.1° Phase Resolution and Integrated OCXO Reference:
The SSG6M80A generators offer a frequency resolution of 0.001 Hz and a phase adjustment resolution of 0.1°. Typical phase noise is −135 dBc/Hz, with a 1 GHz carrier and a 10 kHz offset. The series supports analog frequency and phase modulation, optional pulse generation, and pulse sequencing functions. It also incorporates an integrated OCXO reference, designed to provide frequency stability.

The power meter control allows you to adjust output levels and compensate for losses introduced by external elements in the signal path. These functions are designed to facilitate the setup of tests that require multiple precisely synchronized signals.

USB, LAN, and GPIB Interfaces for Automated Testing.
Both the SSG6089A and the SSG6M80A series are designed for use in laboratories and automated test environments. Both families incorporate USB and LAN interfaces for remote control and integration into measurement systems.

The GPIB interface is available as an option.

The instruments also feature a 5-inch touchscreen, allowing configuration and operation directly from the front panel. With these features, SIGLENT aims to address two distinct needs: generating signals at higher microwave and millimeter wave frequencies, and producing multiple coherent, phase-in-phase signals from a multichannel platform.

SIGLENT will showcase its new generators at Electronics 2026.
The SSG6089A and SSG6M80A generators are being added to SIGLENT's range of radio frequency test and measurement equipment. The company is targeting them at research and development applications, electronic system verification, and production testing.

Visitors will be able to see the new instruments during electronica 2026, which will be held in Munich from November 10 to 13, 2026.

SIGLENT will be present in Hall A4, Stand 161, where it will offer information on the features and applications of both families of signal generators.
