The 1000 X Series utilizes Keysight's exclusive custom MegaZoom IV ASIC technology, enabling a high refresh rate of 50,000 waveforms per second. This makes it easier to see glitches and infrequent, random anomalies that might be missed by similarly priced oscilloscopes. The 1000 X Series also features a high sampling rate of up to 2 Gmu/s and comes with two probes as standard. The oscilloscopes utilize segmented memory to maximize memory depth and contribute to faster testing.
These oscilloscopes are ideal for new users and students. Not only are they low-cost, but learning to use the oscilloscope and setting up measurements is straightforward. The industry-standard front panel is easy to use, and the built-in functions help new users quickly analyze signals and deliver results. Unlike most oscilloscopes of this type, a trainer's resource kit is included as standard. The kit includes built-in training signals, a comprehensive oscilloscope user guide written specifically for university students, and a set of slides on oscilloscope fundamentals for instructors and lab assistants.
“When we designed the 1000 X Series, we looked for ways to significantly reduce costs while still delivering a high-quality product,” said Dave Cipriani, vice president and general manager of Keysight’s Digital Photonics Center of Excellence. “We are excited to offer customers an affordable solution that delivers excellent measurement performance and software analysis capabilities.”.
The instrument's 6-in-1 integration means the 1000 X Series provides users with more value for their money and saves valuable physical space. In addition to being an oscilloscope, the 1000 X Series is also a serial protocol analyzer, a digital voltmeter, and a frequency counter; furthermore, the EDUX1002G and DSOX1102G models include a frequency response analyzer and a WaveGen function generator. The fundamentals of Bode plots are easy to teach with the integrated frequency response analysis and WaveGen.
The 1000 X Series offers professional-grade measurements and software analysis capabilities. The oscilloscope includes 24 typical oscilloscope measurements for quickly analyzing signals and determining signal parameters. Windowed FFT functionality provides additional signal analysis, allowing users to correlate frequency and time domain phenomena on a single screen. Mask limit checking is also available to help users easily detect signal errors. The 1000 X Series supports decoding and analysis of a wide range of popular embedded automotive serial bus applications, including I2C, SPI, UART/RS232, CAN, and LIN.
