The Integrated Smart Space of Alcalá de Henares is located in and around Plaza de Cervantes, where an accessible technological ecosystem has been created that allows individuals to be autonomous and interact with their environment. Following the presentation, a demonstration tour will be offered so that attendees and authorities can experience the new technologies installed.

The CEO of CENTAC, Juan Carlos Ramiro; the Mayor of Alcalá de Henares, Javier Rodríguez Palacios; a representative from the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality; and the Councillor for Transparency and Social Innovation of Alcalá de Henares, Brianda Yáñez, inaugurated the first Integrated Smart Space and led a demonstration tour. During the tour, technicians specializing in each technology were available to answer questions and facilitate its use. The services included in this first phase, which were demonstrated during the tour, are:

• Outdoor guidance system: This system for visually impaired people generates an artificial field of vision using sound information so the user knows their position relative to any detected point.
• Accessible taxi location service: This solution not only locates accessible taxis but also all types of barrier-free points of interest for people with reduced mobility.
• Indoor guidance system: This application guides visually impaired people indoors and in confined spaces. It allows them to orient themselves over very short distances and access relevant information at each point of reference.
• Accessible medication system: With this service, people with visual impairments or fine motor difficulties can consult medication leaflets by scanning the barcode or national code. The smartphone then reads the leaflet to the user.
• Smart parking system: This application allows people with reduced mobility to not only find the location of reserved parking spaces but also check their availability at any time, facilitating their travel.
• Accessible menu reading application: a technological application that reads restaurant menus, intended not only for blind people but for any tourist who does not understand the language.
