D-Link Central WiFi Manager (CWM-100) software is designed for all types of businesses and sectors (hotels, restaurants, education, healthcare, services) that need to centrally manage and secure wireless access for employees and/or customers. Given its flexible implementation, another possible use is multi-site management, allowing a service provider to offer its small and medium-sized business clients remote management of their Wi-Fi network without requiring a local administrator at each site.

Once the software driver is installed on a PC or virtual machine, the Central WiFi Manager management interface is accessible via the web, allowing remote access from any web browser on computers, mobile phones, or tablets. It is very intuitive to use; a few clicks are all it takes to scan access points, add them, and then manage them individually or centrally.

Central WiFi Manager includes a simple and customizable captive portal, enabling easy authentication and access control based on user permissions. It supports WiFi authentication via local database, RADIUS, LDAP, POP3, and HotSpot for temporary users.

Central WiFi Manager also ensures stable and efficient wireless connectivity. The software performs automatic radio frequency management, bandwidth optimization, and multimedia prioritization. The Auto RF function automatically manages the channels and transmission power of access points, seeking the best network performance. Meanwhile, dynamic bandwidth optimization ensures balanced connection of users and data traffic across all access points. Additionally, multimedia prioritization is an increasingly important feature for managing the growing number of devices, particularly those accessing real-time services such as voice or video streaming applications.

From an administrator's perspective, the CWM-100's multi-level architecture allows for granting different levels of access to network managers. Furthermore, NAT pass-through enables the management of multiple remote networks without requiring a VPN or additional software.
