Thanks to their patented 4-terminal contact design, based on a copper-beryllium alloy, the connection integrity is always maintained, even when these connectors are subjected to high levels of shock, vibration, or other forms of mechanical stress. Despite their compact dimensions, these narrow-pitch connectors can handle a current of 10A and are therefore well-suited for use in systems with demanding performance expectations but also tight space constraints.

A set of stainless steel screws ensures a secure connection, allowing the connectors to withstand 1,000 connection/disconnection cycles. They also incorporate polarization mechanisms to prevent connection failures, the female contacts are pull-resistant and recessed, and the covered housing for the male contacts helps protect them from potential damage. Additionally, the encapsulated back helps retain the cable.

Harwin's halogen-free, RoHS-compliant M300 series is primarily targeted at applications in motorsports, defense, industrial automation, satellites, robotics, renewable energy, and aviation. Its wide operating temperature range (-65°C to 175°C) and low outgassing are significant advantages when these connectors are installed in vacuum environments.
