Like standard CompactCom modules, the new M12 versions will be available with and without a housing. The housing-free M12 version achieves an IP67 protection rating. This means the product is completely sealed against dust and water. The housing-equipped CompactCom M12 versions offer IP20 protection, just like standard CompactCom modules, with the specified fieldbus connectors.Anybus CompactCom modules with M12 connectors offer the same functionalities as standard CompactCom modules, including complete interchangeability. This means that once the Anybus CompactCom concept is implemented in a product, the desired network can be accessed simply by connecting any CompactCom module.
