Like other connectors in the Brad Ultra-Lock family, the Ultra-Lock (M12) EX features patented push-to-lock technology, providing a simple, secure, and operator-independent connection. Additionally, the Ultra-Lock (M12) EX connector includes a full insulating ring that restricts access to the connector's release mechanism. This allows for push-in connection, but requires a screwdriver for disconnection. Because the connection point is arc-protected, it is considered suitable for use in Class I, Division 2, Zone 2 classified locations.
The Ultra-Lock (M12) EX features molded, pre-wired connections with polarized positioning on the connector cord, providing more reliable performance in high-vibration applications and reducing wire termination failures. Radial sealing offers watertight connections with IP67/IP68/IP69K protection ratings, allowing for temporary submersion underwater. This makes the Ultra-Lock (M12) EX an ideal solution for environments such as oil refineries, petrochemical plants, wastewater treatment plants, pharmaceutical factories, and food and beverage processing facilities.
