that require high current densities and low energy losses. Split-foil power modules are part of a robust portfolio of modular, custom-configurable, high-current hybrid power and signal connectors, delivering up to 260.0 A per linear inch in a low-profile (10.00 mm) housing designed to improve airflow within the system.
The new EXTreme Ten60Power Split-Blade power modules separate the two halves of the standard EXTreme Ten60Power terminal with a dielectric plastic in between. Each split-blade terminal carries a rated current of 30.0 A with a temperature rise of 30 °C. By separating the contacts and shortening the distance between the loaded power contacts, these modules accelerate response, reduce overall impedance, and benefit from higher capacitance, while also offering greater granularity if the customer does not require the full 60.0 A rated power on all power contacts. The modular design allows for easy integration of the split-blade modules into EXTreme Ten60Power hybrid assemblies, along with standard power and high-density signal (HDS) modules to meet specific customer requirements.
Extreme Ten60Power connectors are available in 1- to 9-circuit split-foil power modules, 1- to 10-circuit standard-foil power modules, and 6- to 60-circuit signal modules. All modules are configurable to suit virtually any design application without requiring additional tooling or extending lead times. High-current contact foils with 5.50 mm (DC) and 7.50 mm (AC) spacing offer even greater design flexibility. Power foils are available in rectangular or vertical orientations for use in coplanar or perpendicular applications. Both male and female connectors are designed with reliable, proven Molex power and signal contacts and LMFB (Last Engage, First Disconnect) or FMLB (First Engage, Last Disconnect) mechanisms. The original 3-row signal module comes with a spacing of 2.54 mm x 2.54 mm, while the 5-row signal module is available with a spacing of 2.00 mm x 1.65 mm for use in areas with limited space.
