Crimped connectorsIts 250 A power contacts take up less space and are easy to assemble, creating a wide variety of vibration-resistant versions: a connector with four power contacts, or with three power contacts and one PE contact, or with two power contacts, or the most compact version with a single power contact.

Its two-piece, die-cast aluminum housing, size 8, which includes a cap, base, and compartmentalized design, features a large-surface-area PE connection and a mating structure. These highly impact- and corrosion-resistant housings are easy to mount and meet IP68 and IP69k protection levels. A quick-mount mating structure with pre-installed tightening screws is available for mounting these new compartmentalized housings.

The crimp contacts of the “RockStar® HighPower 250 A” can now be removed using the M25 cable entry gauge. The precision-stranded, flexible, multi-core copper conductors from 25 to 95 mm² are easily terminated using standard crimping tools.

No special tools are required. Thanks to the internal EMC connector, which can be adapted to the corresponding cable diameter, the RockStar® HighPower 250 A offers excellent EMC characteristics. The wide operating temperature range of -50 °C to +120 °C and the housing's shock resistance of up to 7 J ensure that users can install the new high-current connectors in extreme environments without any concerns.

Crimped connectors1The modular design of the entire system allows for the creation of numerous connector versions tailored to each application: a version with four power contacts, or with three power contacts and one PE contact, or with two power contacts, or the most compact version with a single power contact. The robust housings offer IP68 (IEC 60529) and IP69k (DIN 40050 Part 9, Water) protection. The operating temperature range is -50°C to +120°C. These high-current connectors are based on a two-piece die-cast aluminum housing with high impact resistance of 7 J and corrosion resistance. These properties make the connector particularly suitable for installation in harsh environments.
The housing surface has a black powder coating (RAL 9005).

The “RockStar® HighPower 250 A” size 8 high-current connectors utilize individual contact techniques and can accommodate up to four contacts. These are held together in a structure along with the insulating sleeve. The design features make it impossible to accidentally detach the contacts from the structure.

The plastic materials used in the inserts fully comply with the criteria for their approval by the international railway industry, such as DIN EN 5510 Part 2, NFF 16-101, NFF 16-102, ASTM E 162, ASTM E 662 and Bombardier SMP 800C.
