The Extreme SystemThe product offers a three-circuit wire-to-board connection design capable of carrying a current of up to 80A, with a symmetry axis of 11.00 mm (0.433”), to save more space on the printed circuit board, and an EMI shielding option, to reduce crosstalk between cables and improve immunity to external noise.

The EXTreme Guardian PCB Header system reduces network downtime with a built-in FMLB (first-mate/last-break) terminal that enables hot-swapping of power supplies. The heads also feature exceptional design elements, such as insert molding for more precise placement; full threaded connections on the header housing flange for easy and secure positioning and securing of the bolts that allow for precise through-hole mounting of the connector.

EXTreme Guardian cable assemblies are capable of handling high voltages, up to 600 V, with minimal voltage drop and irreversible energy dissipation losses (I²R). Other mechanical features include: hand-tightening screws in the cable jacket that can withstand a pull-out force of at least 14.71 N (3.3 lb); a cable jacket with pull protection against a minimum force of 97.87 N (22 lb) in any direction; and a secondary terminal locking mechanism to protect the cable against accidental disconnection.
