With a power rating of 34.0 A per blade and resistance to operating temperatures up to 125 °C (USCAR-2, Level 3), Super Sabre power connectors are suitable for automotive applications, including commercial vehicles, as well as household appliances, medical devices, data communications, and industrial control systems.
Optimized for 10 AWG to 12 AWG wire, Super Sabre power connectors can be configured for both wire-to-wire and wire-to-board connections and are compatible with lead-free reflow and wave soldering processes. High-conductivity silver alloy terminals are used to minimize fretting corrosion. The terminals are designed with flat blades and four independent electrical contact points, providing redundant secondary current paths for long-term reliable operation. They also establish more stable electrical connections than other types of terminals.
The terminals are fully insulated on both sides of the coupling, ensuring complete protection against damage or short circuits. The positive locking mechanism and Terminal Position Assurance (TPA) function prevent unintentional disconnection of the terminals. The optional foil, compliant with UL1977 and UL60950 (finger test) standards, meets the safety requirements of numerous consumer applications.
