Featuring an integral, bidirectional matte seal with enhanced retention, the new SRC system exceeds IP69k compliance testing. It is an ideal solution for harsh environments. Furthermore, the use of proven MX150™ (control) and MX150L™ (power) terminal technology helps non-automotive transport (NAT) original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) significantly reduce production costs by eliminating the need to purchase, handle, and crimp cable seals. The SRC system's modular design, consisting of seven segments (A–G) for power and control, with each control segment comprising 12 circuits and each power segment 3 circuits, offers the flexibility to increase the number of circuits to 84 (if all segments are control) and allows for easy on-site repair or simple replacement of terminals and connectors.
The SRC system uses MX150 terminals with a current rating of up to 18 A, while the MX150L terminals have a current rating of 40 A. The clamping force of the sealed rectangular connectors exceeds 400 N, ensuring a secure connection even in high-vibration environments. One-handed, blind coupling of the SRC is possible thanks to a cam-operated sliding locking mechanism. Furthermore, the Terminal Position Assurance (TPA) spacers provide an anti-scooping function, preventing damage to the terminals when coupling the head and connector. The SRC is available with both mixed signal and power cables and standard flexible cables.
