Naturally, the new 4-pair PROFINET cables retain all these advantages. Furthermore, 4-pair cables enable data transmission speeds to be increased from 100 Mbit/s to 10 Gbit/s, making your network infrastructure future-proof.
HARTING has designed the new PROFINET cables in two versions: in addition to Type A for fixed installations, Type B is available for flexible installations. While the PROFINET cable for fixed installations requires solid inner conductors, the necessary mobility in the flexible application variant is ensured by tinned multi-strand wires. In accordance with PROFINET guidelines, the outer sheath in the PIMF versions is made of green PVC.
The 4-pair Ethernet cables meet EMC class d criteria according to EN 50174-2 and withstand higher lateral crush loads in demanding industrial environments. They are also fire-resistant and UV-resistant.
The new PROFINET cables are specially designed for use with multiple HARTING connector variants, such as RJ45 connectors from the HARTING RJ Industrial product family, in IP 20 applications, or with HARTING Han 3A® housings for IP 65 / IP 67 applications.
The HARTING PROFINET product portfolio also includes 4-conductor cables of types A, B, and C, connectors such as RJ45 and M12, as well as bulkhead fittings and hybrid interfaces for simultaneously supplying data and power to devices.
