With the smallest form factor on the market (33.9 mm x 16.25 mm x 13.5 mm), the lowest power consumption (160 mA @ 3.3 VDC), and innovative NetEZ® technology, the MiiNePort E1 is an extremely easy-to-integrate solution while offering a very competitive cost. This device allows for the integration of an Ethernet LAN connection into card readers, meters, digital signage, RFID readers, and other devices with a serial interface.
For any developer, integrating such a device always requires meeting a number of requirements:
- Easy to install with minimal effort and no Ethernet knowledge required.
- Affordable cost, in line with the original device.
- Minimal space required inside the device.
- Operating modes already available over TCP/IP for integrated remote control.
To meet these needs, Moxa launches the MiiNePort E1, the easiest-to-use embedded serial port server on the market:
- The size of an RJ45 connector.
- Very low power consumption.
- Based on the new MiiNe, Moxa's second-generation SoC.
- Easier integration thanks to NetEZ technology.
- Supports virtual COM, TCP, UDP, and RFC2217 operating modes.
Moxa's NetEZ® technology offers manufacturers of serial interface devices a range of powerful tools that will drastically reduce the cost and effort of developing a solution to integrate Ethernet into their equipment.
Traditionally, this type of integration would take between six and nine months, but now it can be done in just six days.
- EXTrigger: Allows for a quick reset of the MiiNePort E1 without shutting down the entire system. This way, in case of a network failure, default settings can be easily restored.
- SCM (Serial Command Mode): Allows configuration of the Ethernet portion of the MiiNePort E1 via serial port commands (Serial Command Mode).
- AutoCFG: This feature enables automatic and batch configuration of the MiiNePort E1 during the production process.
- MCSC (Multi-Channel Serial Communication): Enables dual connections and dual channels for multitasking communications.
