Communication security with the Xacom Bipac 7800 GZ router
The Xacom Bipac 7800 GZ router is Billion's first model with an integrated 3G/HSPA module, providing high-speed internet without the need for USB modems or additional PCMCIA cards. It features a dual WAN system for ADSL line backup, ensuring complete security in case of line outages.
This router is an effective solution for high-speed connections using HSPA technology, achieving download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 2.0 Mbps. With both ADSL 2/2+ and an integrated UMTS-HSPA module, it allows you to choose between ADSL and UMTS-HSPA. In either case, the router uses the UMTS-HSPA technology as a backup for the primary connection.
The Xacom Bipac 7800 GZ's automatic switching functionality ensures maximum connectivity via a 3G network during an ADSL line outage. The device will automatically reconnect as soon as service is restored, reducing connection costs.
This device implements the VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol), which provides additional security, especially for companies using VPNs. This protocol enables communication between multiple devices within the same site. As an open protocol, it can complement other devices that support it.
The innovative configuration system makes it easy to create a WLAN network so that, for example, in a meeting, participants can securely access the Internet via a 3G network to retrieve emails or share files.
The Xacom Bipac 7800 GZ router has important security features such as an integrated SPI firewall and DoS prevention. In addition, the IPSec VPN functionality allows for encrypted communication with up to four offices, enabling access to a corporate network and the transmission of information between different offices anytime, anywhere.
In the public transport sector, by installing the Xacom BiPAC 7800 GZ, companies can keep passengers informed with real-time weather and current events data, updated via a 3G internet connection, or offer internet access that can be charged for, creating a new source of revenue.
The Xacom Bipac 7800 GZ router offers a complete communication guarantee for small offices and SMEs thanks to the integrated backup that allows ADSL and HSPA to be available on the same device.
