When the connector is in use, the cap is held perpendicular to the face of the connector, ensuring that it does not interfere with adjacent connectors in high patch density environments or in work area applications.
The new capped connectors have the same transmission performance and quick termination characteristics as the original Z-MAX connector.
Using the patent-pending Z-TOOL™, all capped Z-MAX connector varieties, including the shielded Category 6A version, can be terminated in 60 seconds or less, including cable preparation time. This represents the fastest RJ45 connector termination in the industry. All Z-MAX 6A jacks offer optimal Category 6A performance across all critical cabling parameters as part of an end-to-end system. Category 6 versions also offer these features and easy user termination.
To further enhance flexibility, the Z-MAX work area connectors feature a unique design that allows for flat or angled mounting. New printed icons can be inserted into the connector's cap or front, providing a color-coded identification system visible even with a patch cable inserted.
The Z-MAX line includes end-to-end Category 6A Class EA systems in both shielded and unshielded configurations, as well as Category 6/Class E UTP. The complete Z-MAX 6A channel consists of Z-MAX 6A connectors and patch panels, Category 6A cable, and patent-pending Z-MAX 6A patch cords with a finely tuned PCB in each connector for enhanced signal performance.
