Cable gland with IP66 and IP68 certification
ICOTEK has achieved new IP66 certifications for its split cable glands and IP68 certifications for its membrane cable guiding system. This makes them suitable for all types of demanding applications, such as those in the food industry or the railway sector.
KOLBI announces improvements to its cable glands for both connectorized and non-connected cables. The KEL-ER series split cable glands have been certified to IP66 protection, in addition to the existing IP65 and NEMA Type 4X ratings. These glands allow for the passage of connectorized cables from 1 mm² to 35 mm² in diameter. This solution is available in various sizes for different configurations, providing high cable density. Installation is quick and easy, and its high modularity and versatility allow for future expansion. Furthermore, it features an anti-pull system compliant with EN 62444, as well as other additional certifications.
On the other hand, KEL-DPU membrane cable glands have been certified for a protection rating of up to IP68, thus complementing their existing IP65/IP66/IP67/IP68 certifications, in addition to NEMA Type 4X. This system allows for the passage of electrical cables without connectors and/or pneumatic tubing with diameters from 3.2 mm to 20.5 mm, offering strong cable tensile strength. Its virtually flat and hygienic design is suitable for food environments and complies with ECOLAB standards. Thanks to its ISO 4892-2A UV resistance certification, it is also suitable for outdoor applications. Furthermore, it meets EN 45545-2 Level HL3 fire and smoke standards for railway applications.

What makes an iPDU smart?
Although “smart PDUs” (iPDUs) are becoming more common in today's data centers, many installers and network administrators still choose and use basic or “dumb” PDUs instead of “smart” devices due to the misconception that iPDUs are more expensive.
