The DGS-1100V2 family is positioned at the entry level for network management. These switches are ideal for small installations or as edge switches in environments where only basic network segmentation is required. Nuclias Connect-compatible DGS-1100V2 models offer 10 to 26 Gigabit ports (with SFP fiber uplink ports on some models) and multiple Power over Ethernet (PoE) options (up to 370W PoE budget) to deliver both data and power over the same network cable.
The DXS-1210 series, on the other hand, offers much more advanced networking features, including Layer 3 static routing, as well as other essential functions for improving network performance, such as Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP) and Link Aggregation Protocol (LACP). However, its main advantage is the leap to 10 Gigabit Multi-Gigabit technology, as all its copper ports are Multi-Gigabit (1/2.5/5/10G) to meet the growing demand for higher bandwidth in NAS servers and other devices. It also features 10 Gigabit SFP+ uplink ports. The range also includes a model with all ports in 10 Gigabit SFP+ fiber optic (DXS-1210-12SC) to act as a 10 Gigabit concentrator in network cores or server farms.
With Nuclias Connect, network administrators can manage both the switching and Wi-Fi network functionalities through a modern and intuitive web interface from the Single Sign-On portal.
Key features of Nuclias Connect
• Centralized management of indoor/outdoor and industrial Wi-Fi access points (DAP and DIS series, respectively) and DGS-1100V2, DGS-1210, and DXS-1210 Smart Managed Switches.
• Free software. No licenses or additional costs for advanced features.
• Installable on Windows or Linux, on local computers or on cloud-based software servers for remote access.
• Available as a software controller (DNC-100) or embedded in a physical controller (DNH-100).
• Intuitive web interface and Single Sign-On portal access from a single account, capable of managing multiple remote sites and with user profiles to grant different administrative privileges. Advanced network status reports.
• Wireless Management: Traffic analysis, radio frequency and channel management, captive portal, creation of different SSIDs/passwords, enabling fast roaming, network topologies, remote reset, scheduled firmware updates, etc.
• Switching Management: Port management, VLAN segmentation, access control lists (ACLs), Spanning Tree, IGMP Snooping, QoS, Loopback Detection (LBD), etc.
• Easy Layer 2/3 discovery of access points and switches.
• Block configuration of switches and access points.
• Block provisioning of multiple access points from the Nuclias Connect app (iOS/Android) to simplify multi-access point deployments.
