FibreTap is a pre-connectorized, plug-and-play solution designed for aerial and underground use. Its splice-free design improves installation speed and saves time thanks to its plug-and-play connection method.
Emtelle supplied the pre-terminated 5/2 mm and 6/3.2 mm universal drop cable with 2-8 pre-installed G657A2 fibers. HellermannTyton provided an ONT (Optical Network Terminator) closure, as well as a new IP68-rated fiber adapter block and kit for pole or camera installations. Senko supplied a blown fiber LC connector, an alternative mechanical splice solution for ONTs, and a custom version of its compact IP connector for plug-and-play solutions.
With its pre-connectorization, FibreTap requires minimal training to install, while providing the maximum opportunity for high-quality fiber connections.
